JoLyn's credentials are extensive. She attended nursing school at California State University, Hayward and graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing with Honors in 1994. She went on to explore many avenues of nursing which included: Emergency Care, Intensive Care, Open Heart Recovery, Emergency Flight Nursing for Delta Airlines, Home Care for William Hewlett, Research and Development, and medical sales for 3M Medical Division.

In 2000, JoLyn moved to Los Angeles and was privileged to learn from the leaders in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery and dermatology care - assets which she has been able to carry on to her practice at Skin 365. In 2005, she was one of thirty registered nurses in the United States invited to attend advanced training on Juvederm Dermal Filler in Canada prior to the release of this product domestically. In 2008, she was one of seventy-five honored guests to attend The Aesthetic Leadership Forum at Allergen's corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.
